MY DREAM MARIE, steadied when outrun after a quarter mile, regained the lead when roused, drew clear, moved to the inside and withstood a sustained drive. CEE VEE moved boldly to reach contention on the final turn, came through along the inside, was forced to come around horses, lugged in, was straightened out and moved outside of the leader but was not good enough. TELBRAS moved to vie with the leaders after seven furlongs, was not good enough and continued on gamely. ARMY PAL gained command on the outside, set the pace to the final turn, was along inside and forced to take up slightly nearing the furlong pole, then weakened. RESTLESS JOE was best of the others. The latter moved in closest attendance of the leader after a half mile, went to the outside for the drive, challenged but was not good enough. BIT-O-MOON dropped far off the pace early, moved with a rush when roused, came through along the rail but was not good enough. PERFECT SWEEP rushed boldly to gain a forward position on the outside and lacked a late rally. SAILOR LAD went evenly. SUPER-SALESMAN lacked a closing rally.
