Divide Juvenile At Ak-Sar-Ben Undefeated Dog Fish and Guessies Dream Top Fields In Respective Sections By F. DEAN WILLIAMS Staff Correspondent AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 29. For the third straight year the Ak-Sar-Ben Juvenile Stakes will be run in two divisions Wednesday afternoon. Carded as the fifth and sixth races, each division will carry a ,100 purse. The five-furlong event may have lost some of its luster, as two of the top juveniles on the grounds drew in opposite ends of the stake. The undefeated two-year-olds, Dog Fish and Gussies Dream, can now continue their unmarred records should they be able to handle their respective fields. The division of the Ak-Sar-Ben Juvenile headed by Gussies Dream and Royal Roy is carded in the featured sixth position on the program. Others in the field include Kin Win, Cold Taters, OTulip, Night Street, Bold Slip, Big Return, Brief Dream, Sis G., Rado Image, Guymon Lad and Lady Belden. This is the most competitive of the two divisions and is certain to attract a great deal of interest. Winner of Three in Row Gussies Dream, who runs for the partnership of J. E. and N. E. Bouse, has proved her ability by winning three races in as many trips to the post. The daughter of Gray Dream and Guess What has been able to succeed in everything she has been asked to dp. She has beaten colts and fillies alike" over fast and muddy strips. The slight brown filly has yet to race over the five-furlong distance she will be asked to cover on Wednesday, but judging from her versatility to date she should handle it as well as she has four and one-half furlongs. White Spot Farm will send out Royal Roy for his second consecutive stakes win. The homebred son of Yellow Tulip won the Ak,-Sar-Ben Futurity by six lengths. The time hung up for the five furlongs was :59, the fastest posted for two-year-olds at that distance at this meeting. A return to such form for the running of the Ak-Sar-Ben Juvenile would make him the colt to beat in his division. The first division of the stake includes a like, number of 13 entrants, of which " Mrs. H. G. Wells Dog Fish is certain to receive the bulk of the public acclaim. The colt is one of the fastest two-year-olds j seen in this area for some time. Though his time for the five furlongs was only l:00Vsi his early speed was amazing. The Spotted Bull speedster came to the Ak - Sar - Ben track recommended after scoring two successive victories in as many starts at Arizona Downs. His winning margins were such that his form alone was impressive. In his first start here he was overtaken by Big Return at the head of the stretch, only to move away again at his leisure. He has speed and courage, all it takes to make a superior runner. Twelve Face Choice The 12 slated to meet the top choice are Iyory Fox, Craigie D., Hoop Hoop, Little Yount, Bin Jr., Blue Chip Bond, Plaudette, Ark-Ky-Tex, Tiny Plow, Parline, Ready Already and Dark Duchess. The top conr tenders of this group are Blue Chip Bond and Plaudette. They both have winning efforts at this track. The J. K. Houssels filly, Blue Chip Bond, has been working splendidly during early morning trials. Bert Thompson, western representative of the Jockeys Guild, was a visitor at the local oval Tuesday. Thompson is on his way from Seattle to Denver. Plane reservations were such that his trip carried him through Omaha.
