Designate July 15 as Jockey Valets Guild Day at Detroit DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 29. Orville-Dunn, president of the Jockey Valets Benevolent Guild, announced today that Thursday, July 15, has been designated as Valet Guilds Day. The organization, which had its inception here in 1951, has grown in membership and it has done an excellent task of handling death and disability benefits as well as providing medical and hospital aid for its members. v Directors of the Valet Guild are President Dunn, Lee Wincsher, Jesse Ashley, Otis Mazoue, John Danagher, James Francis, Sr., and Louis Lemp.
