Britts Aces Wired, a well-conformed colt, the get of Fighting Fox and Blue Petal, heads a field of eight shifty three-year-olds slated to meet Wednesday in the D. A. C. Bowlers Purse. Under the conditions of the six furlongs feature, the Butt representative will carry 120 pounds. He will be ridden by Manuel Gonzalez. Aces Wired, successful in one of his only two juvenile engagements, failed to display his best form and was beaten off here June 11 in the one mile International Purse and he appeared sore before that outing. Under the supervision of trainer H. H. "Pete" Battle, Aces Wired is back in top condition and the colt worked four furlongs last Wednesday morning in :48, a t iCorrtinucdton tagTwenif-Bigfit y f- Aces Wired Has Seven Opponents at Detroit Tamarack Pair of Bright Shoes, Reb-Misha May ProveTroublesome Continued from Page One handily. Previous to his International Purse jsetback, the Britt star captured the three-quarters mile Woodward Purse, then came right back a week -latter to annex the eight furlongs Dearborn Purse. Major opposition for Aces Wired probably will be provided by the C. P. Sowers-trained Tamarack Stable entry of Bright Shoes, 120, and the early speedster, Reb-Misha, 111. Others expected to answer "Boots and Saddles" for the mid-week headliner are Leo Edwards Blenfly, 117; Mrs. L. Schmidts improved Make A Note, 103; Wagner and Reibers Boiler Plate, 111; Mrs. Joseph Tomlinsons Canadian-owned Rock Drill, 98, and William L. Huntley, Jr.s Florida invader, Bills Captain, pegged at 117 pounds. The apprentice allowance was claimed for Rock Drill and little Billy Phelps is slated to guide the Tomlinson filly. Harold Keene will have the mount on one of the Tamarack Stable entrants or Blenfly, Jockey Leroy Pierce is to pilot Boiler Plate while Lois Cook, who recently took over the leadership in the local riding standings, will be astride Make A Note. Bright Shoes appears the stronger of the two Tamarack Stable entrants and the gelded son of Radiate H. and New Shoes is to try for this third success of the current Detroit meeting. Bright Shoes beat Bills Captain and Blenfly May 31 in the six furlong Algonac Purse and he came back June 24 to achieve a well-deserved victory in the mile Corunna Rotary Purse, stepping along in 1:38. Three-year-olds will clash in the best supporting attraction on the card, nine from the age division, representing eight interests are entered in the six-furlong Oxford Lions Purse. Overnight choice for the sprint is Carroll Currans Jimminetty, a daughter of Jimmie and Wickliffe Gal, who will try for her fifth local success of the present season. Jimminetty has done just about everything asked of lier by trainer Bobby Curran, scoring at distances ranging from six furlongs to one mile and one-sixteenth over fast, slow and muddy footing. The versatile filly will be handled by her regular jockey, Tommy Barrow. In the field opposing Jimminetty are the G and G Stable pair, Pernie Lee and Big Heart; Mrs. George C. Whites Lysbeth, who is favorably weighted at 108 pounds; Larry Rodriguez Young Fellow, and Triple R. Stables Dark Theatre. Also L. C. MacGregor and F. E. Arnolds Touch of Or, A. F.
