ATOMIC KISS was never a great distance back, came to" the outside on entering the stretch and wore down BEST CHANCE near the end. The latter moved with a rush from the outside on leaving the backstretch to wrest command nearing the final furlong, but was not quite good enough. BUZZ A BIT, slow to settle into stride, raced wide throughout and finished full of run. HEGIRA made up some ground in the late stages but could not seriously threaten. GEORGE ENGEL tired from his early efforts. QUELLE showed some early foot. GATOR BAIT was through early. POPPY DAY was never far back, raced between horses in the late stages and held on fairly well. GATICA BONITA had speed, saved ground much of the way and faltered slightly in the final drive.
