Aeschylus Scores in Driving Finish . :i Miss Ada Prompt Gansett Favorite Scampers Home With Three Lengths Margin Over Sito As Shannon Gal Runs Third By FRED GALIANI NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket. R. I., June 9. — The last time Miss Ada ran she won by three lengths but was promptly disqualified for bearing in. In the sixth race, one of the better events on the card this afternoon, she displayed none of those tendencies and was an easy winner, scampering to the finish by three lengths as an odds-on choice. With Dar-rell Madden only touching her up with the whip in the early stretch, the Billings filly romped home before Mrs. William Hinphys Sito. It was another four and one-half lengths back to Exchange Stables Shannon Gal, who went outo to a wide lead in the early part but was unable to hold it. Well backed by the crowd of 7,2i7 because of her comparatively easy score at a distance last time despite her number being taken down, Miss Ada paid .80 and covered the mile and 70 yards in 1:43%. It was the second winners of the afternoon for Madden, fresh from a triumph in the Polly Drummond Stakes at Delaware Park, as he had previously won the third heat on Mrs. M. J. Branhams Tournure. Miss Adas Third Victory Miss Ada, a daughter of Billings — Second Guesser, was winning officially, her third start in 10 attempts this year. She had little trouble outclassing the rivals that Shannon Gal broke fastest at the start she met this afternoon, of the race, with Sito and Miss Ada right behind. Two of the rivals in the race were eliminated when Love-a-Chance "dwelt at the start and Kiwi Bird refused to come out of the gate. Jockey M. Wilder, on the latter, exentually got the horse out of the barrier and then pulled her up for the rest of the way. Shannon Gal, in the meantime, had bounded out like a frightened deer on the lead and opened up a big lead. Sito was best of the others and Miss Ada not far behind. At the far turn the gap tightened up and Miss Ada moved to contention. At the head of the stretch she was_m command and Madden hit her a few~times to keep her about her business. For the last eighth of a mile she was in complete control of the situation and hustled home all by herself. Sito had just about, the same easy time for second position, while Shan--non Gal, tired from her early efforts, lasted for third.
