BUSTER BUTTONS had speed from the break, was hard put for the final quarter mile and held RUFF MATE safe. The latter moved up strongly on the outside on-the final turn to challenge boldly and hung through the drive. SOLAR LAD, far back until leaving the final turn, rallied mildly when called upon. JACK KENNY had no excuse. FEARNAUGHT tired, as did TWINTONE, DADDYS PUNKIN and IRISH YARN. Attendance, 6,313; Total Mutuel Pool, 03,848.
