WARDRIL, badly outrun early, moved through between horses when rallying on the" second turn and wore down the leaders entering the final furlong. MY SHOEMAKER was sent up on the outside on the second turn and appeared to hang after making a bold bid in the early stretch. PRINCE VILLON moved with a rush nearing the half-mile ground to wrest command three furlongs away, but had little left when the real test came. HILL STREET was used up in vying for the early lead. REIGHS DOUBLE made the pace while in hand, saved ground to the stretch turn, drifted out while under pressure and held on stubbornly. ARIEL SWEEP moved up menacingly along the inside entering the stretch, but hung in the final drive. RUGGED ODDS made up some ground while racing wide, but could not seriously threaten.
