CABOCHON raced evenly within striking distance of the leaders to tiie stretch, took the lead during the drive and drew clear while under brisk urging. MORE BROWN, forced back when caught between horses immediately after the start, was hustled to reach serious contention, and their finished willingly but could not reach CABOCHON, although probably the best. HERO HOUR, outrun early, closed fast under punishment. WAR PLUME lacked early foot. STORY WANTED had no mishap. INDIAN TRUCE, outrun to the stretch, responded readily during the drive but could not get to the leaders. BEBBYS BABE raced well for a half mile and then weakened. BELL LAP raced wide. TROUBLE ME went to the front early, set the pace until inside the stretch and then qave way when challenged by CABOCHON. GUNNER BOY began slowly. BELLE GAY .could not keep up. BETTYSON, raced evenly for a half mile, "was sent to the middle of the track for the stretch run and, responding to punisliment, wore down YOCK TOM in the last sixteenth. YOCK TOM began fast, made the pace until well inside the stretch but could not withstand the winner.- FIDDLIN SON gave a god effort and had no mishap. ORRTRACK tired after racing well to the stretch. HUESO lacked early speed. SCYLAX could not keep up. EZIO raced forwardly placed to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive. ADJUSTED began slowly. GRANNY BROOK raced wide. LYSISTRATA, well placed from the start, clipped PRIMA DIVAs heels when near the three and one-half furlongs post, recovered under good handling and wore down JAY RAN in the last sixteenth. The latter began fast, entered the stretch with a clear lead but was unable to hold the winner. WOODYS PET stumbled immediately after the break, recovered and raced well the remainder of the trip. SA SOEUR, a forward factor to the final furlong, failed to stay. ELLIOTTS MAGIC lacked early foot. PRIMA DIVA had early speed. TALK TO ME raced, wide RELATOR was through early. Won driving; third the same. NOBLE GEM, a sharp factor from the start, reached the Tead inside the last sixteenth and lasted to dead-heat with QUIZ DELL. The latter brushed with WISE REWARD after the break, gradually worked way forward and was up to finish on equal terms with NOBLE GEM. PHILIPEEP gave a good effort but could not overtake the top pair. PETERS A. C. began fast, set the pace until nearing the finish and then gave way. STRATEGIST raced nearest PETERS A. C. to- the last eighth mile and then weakened. WISE REWARD brushed with QUIZ DELL after the start and could not reach serious contention. IMPERIAL CADET could not keep up. WILD JOKER showed nothing. LADLE raced greenly. VIA APPIAN broke slowly. HELTOP, outrun to the last three-eighths mile, bore to the inside entering the stretch and, after disposing of HUSH HALL, drew clear while under mild urging. HUSH HALL saved ground while racing forwardly placed to the stretch, settled for the drive with a short advantage but was unable to stay with the winner, although much the best of the others. CONNIES PAL, never far back, was caught in close quarters when HELTOP bore in entering the stretch and, eased back, failed to rally when cleat. -RECEIPT tired after racing prominently to the stretch. AMBULANCE, in hand to the stretch, was sent around horses at the stretch turn, took command from KILLARNEY BEY and drew clear, winning with something left. KORESTES, forced wide at the final turn, closed strongly when straight for the drive but was not good enough for the winner. JUDY DARLING was unable to better her position when set down through the stretch. KILLARNEY BEY, outrun early, saved ground to the stretch turn and reached the lead between calls but failed to stay when challenged by AMBULANCE. LIS ROYALE raced well to the stretch and then drifted out while tiring. TORRETTA took command early, made the pace for three-guarters mile and then gave way. MAENAD had early speed. QUICK LUNCH, forwardly placed from the start, raced TRUE BUTTS into defeat and held on gamely during the drive but could not withstand the winner. THE RIVER lacked early foot but closed strongly under brisk urging. TRUE BUTTS went to the front at once, set the pace until inside the stretch then weakened.
