ROYAL POISE forced the early pace while in hand, moved from the outside to engage RAGING TIDE on entering the stretch and, while lugging in through thandi final furlong, proved slightly best. RAGING TIDE had his speed, saved ground and held on stubbornly. GRAZAR was well placed but lacked- the necessary rally. PART INDIAN encountered close quarters entering the first turn, | recovered when clear to maintain a striking position for a half mile and then faltered. WAR DOINGS was 1 always far back. GEM PATH engaged SOLICIT from the outside early, put that one away before going a half mile, drew clear and was forced all out to stall off SOLERO JR. The latter, unhurried early, came wide to make his bid on the second turn and, with a belated rush, was getting to the winner. SOLICIT had speed and tired. WHIRLING STAR was never a contender.
