Selector Wins in Debut GARDEN STATE PARK. Camden, N. J., May 4. — Selector, who made a successful turf debut in the first race of the meeting in the colors of William Helis, was secured from the Louis B. Mayer dispersal as a yearling. The colt, according to trainer Frank Catrone, is one of the first of the Thumbs Up progeny to race in the East. Thumbs Up won the Santa Anita Handicap for the motion picture tycoon and was trained for the race by George M. Odom.
