Dranik Destroyed CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 4. — Dranik, a five-year-old son of Ariel and Play Dis, who had campaigned under the silks of Mrs. L. B. Kinard, was humanely destroyed here this morning by Dr. Alex Harthill after breaking a shoulder in a training mishap. Dranik broke from the gate, stumbled and went down near the three-quarters pole, throwing jockey Don Scurlock, who was removed to S. S. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital for observation. After a thorough examination at the infirmary, Scurlock was released and is now resting at his local home.
