Faces Long Hospital Stay LINCOLN DOWNS, Lincoln, R. I., May 4. — Apprentice Wilfred Hughes is reported resting comfortably at Woonsocket Hospital, although it will be several weeks before he will be released and a few months before he will be able to return to his profession. Luckily, no serious internal injuries were inflicted in his fall during a race here last week, but he is still suffering from lacerations and a fractured left shoulder and collarbone.
