Winnie Rock Sold CHARLES TOWN, W. Va., May 4 — William Irvine, Jr., purchased Winnie Rock at private terms from W. Maddox and turned her over to his father, William Irvine, Sr., to train. Irvine plans to ship to Pimlico, Md., at the close of this meeting. Apprentice Carty Meyerhoffer, who is under contract to Irvine, will do the booting for the stable. Meyerhoffer, who is the leading rider at the current meeting, has Pete Peterson handling his engagements.
