OFF AT 2:051 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. DEVOTEDLY sprinted into command at once, widened his margin after a quarter, came out slightly on the last turn, but had enough left to hold JOHNNIE C. safe. The latter, slow to settle into his best stride, closed with a belated rush between horses 0SCUL0RIA, a forward factor on the outside, was taken to the inside for the drive, but was not good enough CECROPS weakened after forcing the pace. VIRGINIA R. W. broke alertly, was unable to keep up then rallied mildly nearing the end. DRAGERTON showed a fair effort. RED BOB passed tiring horses DANCE PRETTY began slowly. GLORY BE was hustled to gain an early lead, increased margin when roused and in hand was nearing the end. HASHER worked his way up on the outside to enter contention, then came to the inside in a good effort. SAM NORRIS weakened slightly after forcing the pace. KENAYR was well placed and had no mishap. SHUCKINS finished with good energy JOE SPAGAT, forwardly placed on the outside, held on well. EFHAD went evenly. WHERRIE was unable to keep up. DOIT EASY showed nothing. SEA BEES, a forward factor from the outset, was hard ridden to assume command, then drew out under steady urging. SUNAWAY, outrun to the far turn, closed strongly between horses to finish with good energy. CLYDE T., always with the pace, held on gamely under a drive. GREAT BEYOND, off alertly, forced the pace most of the trip, flattening out in the final stages. ABBES FIRST, never too far back, saved ground to enter contention, but was not good enough MARBLEHEAD made up ground in the late stages. RED FLARE threatened entering the stretch, only to falter! HUSH MONEY moved up fast on the turn, started to go to the outside, was taken in hand after being straightened out, closed stoutly to catch the leader and was drawing clear at the end. GERTIES LAST was sent up fast on the outside, engaged the leader entering the stretch, assumed command, but was unable to withstand the winners bid. FITFUL FIRE was moving well in the late stages when caught in a jam near the end. CAROLINA MISS showed good early speed, raced well on the turn, then shortened stride. MANUELA closed well when clear along the inside. JUANA lacked early speed. HI COMEDIENNE was bothered when in good stride near the end. VALSIDA showed brief speed. SPEEDY JO was onable to reach the leaders. HELEN MAY, a forward factor to the final furlong, tried to bear out, causing a minor jam. FIFTH RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. GUNNISON was under urging to assume command soon after the start, saved ground to maintain advantage and continued en gamely when challenged. MINT OMORN was well up on the outside, drew in closest attendance of the pace on the far turn, but was not good enough. CHALDSON was well up throughout in a good effort. GAY DATE made up ground from off the pace. QUESTUARY was unable to keep up. LOLLING passed tiring horses. FANTOM VENTURE showed nothing. MONIFIETH was never prominent. SHAFFIE, unable to reach the early leader, was steadied along the inside, then failed to respond when roused in the stretch. TOKEN REWARD broke slowly and was never a factor. SECOND SON, off smartly, was in hand while following close to the pace, moved abreast of CADET DAN on the final turn, was carried to the middle of the track, quickly recovered and continued on gamely under a hand ride. GRAY STAR wotted her way up on the inside, saved ground as the leaders went wide, but was unable to overtake the winner. GRACIE SON finished with good energy. REBORN was unable to make up any appreciable ground when urged. PLAY TAG finished stoutly with a belated rush. CADET DAN outran the field to take command at once, was under light urging to set the pace, then drifted out badly on the final turn when tiring. 0CT0R0RA was unable to keep up. HAPPY SMILES assumed command soon after the start, was taken under steadying restraint after drawing clear, responded when roused and increased the margin easily. OLIO, in tight quarters early, was able to get through at the first turn, was kept within striking distance of the pace, rallied mildly when put to a drive, but could not reach the leader. FARMINGTON closed well under a belated rush. VINITA REV was never far off the pace, but lost ground when set down in the drive. WARRIOR PRINCE went evenly. GREAT FUN was in close quarters early, then weakened in the late stages. NEAR MISS, steadied close to the pace and under stout restraint, moved abreast the leader nearing the final quarter of a mile, continued on even terms with TWO DAY AIR until the final seventy yards, then edged to the front. TWO DAY AIR set the pace after a half mile, was under steadying restraint and down on the inside when challenged, responded to urging and held on tenaciously. STRIDE WELL raced forwardly throughout, dropped back from the inside position and moved to the outside to close resolutely. F. B. EYE was unable to get through on the inside nearing the far turn and failed to rally when clear. The others were unable to keep up after a half mile.
