GEE WHIZ, steadied close to the pace on the outside, rallied in the late stages and forged to the front under steady pressure. TROY ROAD worked his way up along the rail, came out on the final turn and pressed to the end. GOOD EGG assumed command at once, drew clear and set the pace to the final sixteenth before tiring. TRUCHA, steadied between horses close to the pace, was brushed on the final turn and failed to rally when set down. MY DUCHESS had no mishap. ESSIE S. passed tiring horses. DOIT EASY showed nothing. MAN BAR improved position gradually seeking room between horses to the turn, came through along the inside and swung out to the middle of the track, then caught the leaders and easily drew out. FLASHY, steadied while racing back of the pace and on the outside, rallied when roused, but was not good enough. POWER THRILL raced LADY GOLFER into submission, but was unable to draw clear in the stretch. ONLOOKER responded under stout urging, bore over on MAN FRIDAY, was straightened and showed nothing thereafter. PALAJE saved ground to no avail. F". moved alertly from his outside post to near the leader entering the stretch, assumed command under urging and moved away with good energy. JIMMYS FIRST, quickest to begin, gave way before a quarter mile, remained in close attendance and was going stoutly at the end. ROSES ACE came around horses cn the far turn to gain a contending position, but was unable to menace. JOHN J. JR. showed a good effort. FIGHTING HOME, never far off the pace, was guided wide on the final turn, kept in the clear through the stretch and was along to take command in the final yards. SUN HALO forced the pace, was between tiring horses in the stretch, responded to pressure, but was not good enough. KELLY AWAY, in hand while outrun, moved behind horses on the final turn and, although full of run, had nowhere to run until the final yards. COURT ETHEL assumed the lead/ along the inside, held on gamely to the stretch, then tired. GAME DAL moved close to the leader on the far turn, continued to press into the stretch and faltered. BOY GENIUS, went wide in the late stages. XIPPI PIGEON lacked early speed. CYCLIST closed fast along the rail. SWEET SIGRID had no mishap. Scratched— 56676 Court Rina, 112. The latter, in closest attendance of the leader under restraint to the final quarter mile, responded when roused, but was no match for the winner. FUTURESQUE was under stout restraint for a mile, was sent up on the outside when roused, but failed to make up ground. LEFT WINGER and RAGS TO RICHES were, never prominent. CHARLESTON, steadied while saving around early, was guided to the outside on the final turn, responded gamely to urging and outfinished SAPAJOU. The latter broke alertly was taken back off the pace and steadied to the. final quarter mile, responded willingly and was pressing to the end. LARRY ELLIS rushed boldly around the field to take command "entering the stretch and flattened out when challenged. OLD TOM forced the pace, lacking a late drive. OUTLAND passed tiring horses. GRAND DEMAND went evenly. EQUIHAZE weakeneU AIR ROCKET was hustled back, failed to reach the pace and tired. LIBERTY RAB outsped the field to set the pace for a half mile and quit. WENTWORTH assumed the lead soon after the break, opened a comfortable margin down the backstretcli, saved ground on the turns and held on stubbornly to the end. CHARM PRINCE was going stoutly at the end. REYNOLDS JR., steadied for a mile, rallied mildly when roused, but was unable to make up ground. FLYING MILE, kept in a good position for six furlongs, began moving while leaving the backstretch, was unable to draw near the leaders and weakened, pulling up sore. JET-STAR was sent up along the inside for seven furlongs, then tired. BOSS H. trailed most of the trip. Wentworth claimed by Mrs. J. D. Canzano. Boss H. claimed by I. J. White.
