Suggested Is Surprise Entrant in Roland Park Brookmeade Colt Engages Five In Mile and Sixteenth Event PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., 3£ay 13. — Brookmeade Stables Suggested, who had been considered by many as a potential starter in Saturdays 5,000 Preakness, was a surprise entrant in tomorrows Roland Park Purse and heads a field of six three-year-olds who will travel the mile and one-sixteenth distance for a purse of ,500. Others named overnight are Christiana Stables Andre, Mrs. Herb C. Bdorses G. R. Petersen, Mrs. H. G. Youngs Bessies Beau, S. A. Weidmans Flag Request and Gwynne Campbell, Jr.s Swing Mate. Suggested, a three-year-old Requested colt who failed to compete as a juvenile, boasts five wins, three seconds and a pair of thirds in 11 starts, a record which would be difficult to fault. He will be attempting to "get" a distance of ground for the first time in the Roland, Park but he showed to good advantage at seven furlongs in his last, finishing a bang-up second behind Charlie McAdam in the Swift Stakes. The appearance of Suggested in the Roland Park would indicate that Brookmeade either "will depend upon Roaring Bull in the week-end attraction, or will be without a starter in the sophomore classic. Andre, a son of Pavot — Miss Ferdinand, was a bit slow in coming to hand this season and that he would miss the Preakness was assured last week prior to his seasonal debut, which he won rather impressively over mediocre company. In that winning effort he moved from off the pace to win a five and a half furlongs sprint in 1:08. G. R. Peterson, after a pair of unsuccessful ventures, turned in a smart effort in his last, scoring a galloping six-length victory while negotiating a mile and a sixteenth in 1:45%. He, too, beat company which would hardly be considered equal to a colt such as Suggested. Flag Request and Bessies Beau finished third and fifth, respectively in a race last week in which Brookmeades Roaring Bull was the winner in 1:48%, hardly considered fast time for a mile and a sixteenth. Either would have to move up considerably in the Roland Park to furnish serious contention. Swing Mate scored at Charles Town for his only victory in eight starts this year and must be considered the outsider
