Cardinals Transfer Bilko To Rochester Farm Team ST. LOUIS, Mo., May 13 UP.— Big Steve Bilko, St. Louis Cardinals* first baseman, was sent to the clubs Rochester farm club today. The Cardinals indicated, however, that they still have not given up on the burly infielder. He is subject to recall within 24 hours. Bilko, described as a promising rookie for the past three seasons, will not be able to play immediately. He suffered a broken bone in his. right arm when he fell down recently while returning to the dugout after running out a ground ball. The transfer cuts the Cardinal roster to 26. And it apparently turns outfielder Stan Musial into a first baseman once more. Musial annually takes over the job after others fail.
