Grace Morse Successful At Cranwood Before 2,847 CRANWOOD PARK, Warrensville Heights, Ohio, May 13. — Although the weather was dull and dismal for the early part of the program, by the time the feature race went postward the sun put in its first appearance in three days and the 2,847 patrons in attendance were well pleased by the result. The A and H. Stables Grace Morse was returned the winner under the excellent handling of jockey Ray Correa and as an 8-to-5 favorite returned a .20 mutuel after negotiating the six furlongs 4n 1 : 17% over a muddy racing strip. J. Purcells Bern Boy was second, a good two lengths in the winners wake and five and one-half lengths ahead of F. Nadaline, Jr.s Winged. W. T. Fugates Montaera was fourth, another half a length farther back. Those who braved the elements for the earlier races found H. M. Simpsons Grand One setting a record for the largest win pay-off of the current meeting. Jockey Hubert McKinney was the rider and much overlooked in the wagering, the combination returned an 15.60, 5.60 and .20 across the board.
