JACK HANKINS— Drives Robert Havens in the first division of the South Side I Pace tonight at Maywood Park. Fairbanks, Spencer Gamp Head South Side Pace Latter Race Being Run in Two Divisions of Two Sections Each MAYWOOD PARK, Maywood, 111., May 13. — Two of the years most successful Chicago-owned pacers, Fairbanks and Spencer Camp, will be. featured tomorrow night in the ,400 South Side Pace at Maywood Park. Fairbanks is top-ranked against a field of eight in the first division of the stake, which will be decided as the fifth and eighth races, both at one mile.. The promising three-year-old colt has won three of five starts to date against experienced competition. Fairbanks is owned by Mrs. Eleanore James, of Wheaton, and will be driven by Frank Darish, contract driver for the James stable. Opposing Fairbanks for first division honors will be Robert Havens, Dale Gray, Jedge Davis, Chief Pontiac, Andy Brown, Ivan Brook, Medallion and Roadmaster. Roadmaster, a three-year-old colt owned by the Chet-Lyn Stables, Junction City, Ohio, is expected to give Fairbanks the most trouble. This son of the great Volo-mite has yet to finish out of the money in six starts for the meeting. Heading the second division, the sixth and ninth races, is Spencer Camp, owned by Mrs. Kathreen Wiedrick, of Chicago. Spencer Camp has recorded four victories in six efforts, one of the losses coming at the hands of Fairbanks. The five-year-old pacer is second only to Dave Taddeos True Jay in victories for the meeting. Spencer Camp faces a field of 10, including Miss Gay Worthy, Susan Abbe, Widowers Bow, Guy Council, Buck Nutonia, Hassayampa, Stokes Hanover, Queen Honor and Prince Day. Most serious competition is expected from the three -year-old filly, Miss G«y Worthy, an upset winner in her first appearance, and from Paul Doughertys Stokes Hanover, making his Maywood bow. The fourth race, a CC-class overnight trot at one mile, named in honor of the Maywood Chamber of Commerce, finds Gordon Fraser sending his Boots Day against an array of seven, which includes Miss Templeton, Mary L. Gauman, Buttercup Hanover, Victory Moon, Bishop, Cady Song and Carlotta Crusader. Bob Wagner, currently the leading driver of the meeting, will pilot his fathers Miss Templeton. going from the pole position.
