Penocc Gives Way To Two Rainbows Latter Goes On to Length And Quarter Pimlico Tally; King Wilson Disqualified By PALMER HEAGERTY Staff Correspondent PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 13.— Mrs. Dodge Sloans Brookmeade Stable silks were carried to a driving victory in this afternoons featured Druid Hill Purse as the four-year-old Sun Again filly, Two Rainbows emerged with her initial success in three starts this season. Mrs. C. A. Lyons Penocc was second, beaten slightly more than a length, while Winlochan Stables Adopt finished third. Jerry Lynch, Incs In A Spin was fourth, just before Bobanet Stables Brazen Brat. Overcast skies greeted a crowd of 10,051 and the racing strip remained a bit dead from recent rains, but Two Rainbows performed satisfactorily in covering the six furlongs of the Druid Hill in 1:12% under jockey Angelo Vasil. Third choice in the five-horse affair, Two Rainbows returned 0.60 as Penocc competed as a four-to-five favoriter- The start was effected without delay and was good, but Brazen Brat stumbled slightly and was last to get under way, as Penocc and Two Rainbows immediately took part in a speed duel for the early lead. Their early dash sent them five lengths clear of In A Spin, who was followed after a quarter-mile by Brazen Brat and Adopt. Penocc Retains Narrow Advantage Penocc went around the turn like a hoop around a barrel, retaining a narrow advantage over Two Rainbows in the process. The Brookmeade mare showed -surprising tenacity today, however, and drove to the fore when straightened for the stretch run. Adopt, too, was commencing to rally, but it seemed certain that his rally would be too late and too little. Two Rainbows took over command at the furlong marker and increased her advantage steadily and Vasil continued to work on her. Penocc faltered in the last sixteenth and held Adopt safe by but a length and a quarter, the same margin by which, he was beaten for the main share of the spoils. George A. Sacks Swords Town and William Zakoors Point Up were awarded first and second money, respectively, after C. P. Wagners King Wilson had been disqualified from the top spot in the six-furlong fifth race. The latter had prevailed by a head in 1:13% while drifting in slightly, for which his number was taken down. Swords Town, despite numerous good efforts in Maryland this spring, returned 7.80, with Rocco Sisto getting credit for the winning ride.
