Schmitt Will Go to Beulah CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 13. — Gene Schmitt, public address announcer at the local course, will depart for Ohio immediately after winding up his duties here next Saturday. Schmitt will first go to Beulah Park and man the "mike" at the Grove City track remaining until May 29, then move oyer to River Downs to handle the May 30 inaugural day racing at the Queen City plant. Schmitts descriptions of the Churchill Downs races this season have been outstanding and his "Derby call" was one of his best.
