FLAMING FOOL was a distant trailer along the backstretch and closed with a rush from the outside. CHANCE SYMBOL made up considerable ground in the final quarter. WIN TOWN loomed a threat in the early stretch, but lacked a response. GLEAMING GOLD weakened in the final drive. JAMAICA SQUARE failed to enter serious contention. BELMONT BELLE ouit after being hard pressed for the lead. JOANNYS JILL quit to a walk when unable-to gain the early advantage. HER CHANCE disposed of PLEASE PAT to gain a clear advantage, then responded well to stave off the late challenge of VIRGINIA OAKS The-latter moved from just off the pace to engage the leader, was rank during the final drive and Just missed DelVecchios claim of foul against the winner appeared a frivolous one and no action was taken. MR. EMILE* lugged in while rallying from far back. PLEASE PAT faltered after dueling for the lead. DEVIL FREE raced evenly. MIDNITE MOON weakened after racing forwardly. Scratched— Rosalie K., 108. DANCE ROUTINE, under restraint early, was forced to alter her course when unable to move between horses in the early stretch, then responded well along the inside to outfinish FAIR TRIAD. The latter was rated just off the pace, attained a slight lead nearing the end and just missed. SCOTCH WINE, hard held in the early stages, raced on the outside while rallying from the furlong pole.. NEW FASHION was hard pressed while in front and faltered in the final - furlong. CHECKOUT weakened in the drive. ISLE OF PEACE closed ground. SAILING HOME could not keep up. KING WILSON, formidable from the start, outgamed SWORDS TOWN while drifting in slightly. He was disqualified and placed third. SWORDS TOWN raced NERVE into defeat soon after a half mile, was unable to draw clear and fought it but willingly. POINT UP improved her position steadily and was in close quarters during the drive. Arduini claimed a foul against both KING WILSON and SWORDS TOWN and the stewards disqualified the former. ORIOLE loomed a threat from the inside, but lacked.a closing rally. TRINGLE ROCK failed to enter serious contention. NERVE flattened out badly after dueling for the lead. FLIGHT ADMIRAL was rank. VAR was always outrun in a dull effort. . FLAP NOT set the pace under rating, gave way and dropped well off the leaders entering the stretch, then came again along the inside to gain the nod. RELIC GOLD, steadied just off the leader, assumed command nearing the stretch and just missed. FIFTY-FIVE, always formidable, lugged in when placed to pressure in the early stretch, then continued on well PILAYYA broke tardly, improved her position steadily, was deterred when FIFTY-FIVE was taken up just in front of her, then lacked a late spurt.
