Moon Star Gives Woodward First English Score of Season NEWMARKET, England, May 13 Reuters .—William Woodwards three-year-old chestnut filly, Moon Star, by Hyperion — Superbe, gave her American owner his first British winner of the 1952 season when she raced to a thr.ee-length win in the nine-furlong Haverhill Stakes here today. The royal jockey, Harry Carr, kept Moon Star behind the leaders until the dip where he sent her smoothly in front for an easy win. The filly started an 11 to 10 favorite in the field of 12 runners. ~" Moon Star is engaged in the Epsom Oaks. Trainer Capt. Cecil Boyd-Rochfort stated that would probably be her next race, adding, "I bought the filly as a yearling for Mr. Woodward. No doubt when Moon Star finishes racing she will go to her owners stud in the United States."
