MISS CROSS showed good speed to stay with the pace, assumed command when put to a drive, disposed of PRINTERS DEVIL and had to be hard ridden to hold PLASTERED safe. The latter saved ground while staying within striking distance of the early pace, moved out to better footing in the stretch and was catching the winner. PRINTERS DEVIL was away alertly, saved all possible ground on the turns but was not good enough. ARKMO went evenly. GANJA showed nothing. CALLUNA had no mishap. ALAS lacked any speed. PRINCE ORLEANS was outrun. STORMY RUTH was not persevered when unable to stay within early contention. CLEAR CASH REARED IN THE POST PARADE, SLIDING TO THE GROUND, LOSING RIDER AND RAN OFF. HE WAS ORDERED SCRATCHED AND ALL MONIES WAGERED WERE REFUNDED. MOON FLEET rushed boldly on the final turn to engage the leader, was not good enough but held on gamely. CINDY MORAN was going well at the end. HYDROMAH weakened in the late stages. FLIGHTS FANCY raced wide on the final turn, retired steadily in the final furlong. GALLOIS FLEET showed nothing. JEAN BOUND was through early. The others were outrun. LILS JOY hustled from the barrier to gain a forward position on the turn, assumed command before a furlong, increased his advantage while kept in the better footing and lasted over HELENTAR. The latter broke alertly, raced on the inside of the leader and was pressing at the end. DELONG NIGHT rushed boldly to reach the leaders on the turn, came out for the drive, loomed as a threat and faltered. TIGHT BOOTS was forwardly placed and had no mishap. MORLOVE was forced to lose ground from the start. GOLD WEAVE lacked a rally. PILE DRIVER was unable to keep up. The others were outrun. POP-BOTTLE rallied in the late stages but was unable to menace. EYE CATCHER set the pace from the outset, increased her advantage after a half mile, then stopped. FIREY ONE was unable to untrack herself skirting the inner rail to the stretch, rallied mildly but was unable to threaten. DESERT WITCH tired. EASY CHOP was outrun. DEPENDABLE showed nothing. FROM AFAR, reserved off the leaders for five furlongs, was sent up on the outside rounding the far turn, continued wide into the stretch, overtook the leader at the sixteenth pole, and drew out easily. COLD CHIC was taken up when bothered leaving the gate, regained a forward position, after a half mile, skirted the inner rail until in command, came out slightly and faltered. GARNET, alternating in setting the pace under a stout hold, weakened near the end. BARSTOW tired. FIRST ONE showed nothing. ENGAGE ME stopped.
