Jamaica Trio With Fractures JAMAICA. L. I., N. Y.. May 2.— Fractures are becoming prevalent in the Jamaica jockey quarters. Albert Schmidl fractured his left heel when a stirrup iron broke a couple of mornings ago while he was exercising a horse at Belmont Park; George Hettinger suffered a fracture of a metatarsal bone in his right foot when thrown in the gate at Jamaica, while Dave Scott, who presses the riders clothes, broke his right shin while moving a radio in his home. Schmidl will be grounded five or six weeks, Hettinger will be idle two to three weeks, while Scott will be listening to that radio for a month or more.
