Grier, trained by B. P. Bond; bred by Meadowview Farms, Inc. REACHED POST— 6:01. OFF AT 6:01 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. TARPORT KID was allowed to settle in best stride, moved through a narrow opening on the inside to wrest command at the head of the stretch, then steadily drew away. SCOTCH BIM was occasionally under strong restraint while lacking room to improve position inside the first flight, then could not stay with the winner when clear in the drive. NATE HERZFELD was a formidable factor racing on the outside and slightly weakened in the final run. BOLD WARRIOR rallied too late to menace. GREAT WHIRL and TONEY SADOR faltered.
