Jersey Stakes Hopefuls Work at Garden State Seventy-Five and Dont Ask Go Six Furlongs Over Off Track GARDEN STATE PARK. Camden, N. J.. May 2. — Morning workouts at Garden State j Park continue to draw numerous candidates for coming stake fixtures at the Cam- den oval. With the 0,000 added Jersey Stakes . one week away, stables are earnestly, prepping their hopefuls for its gold and glory. Caught in Jersey trials were the King i Ranch pair of Dont Ask and Seventy-five. Both went six furlongs over an "off" track in l:163r,. Pr-esjoe Stables Nebullus sped j six panels in 1:16*5. One of the fastest trials of the season at three furlongs was turned in by Mrs. E. B. Stewarts Lois Rabbit, named for the j 0,000 Rancocas Stakes on May 27. The , filly was caught in :3Sand, breaking from the gate and going handily all the way. Also tuning up for the Rancocas was Kay Qee Stable s Wolf Gal. Her latest trial J was five furlongs in 1:0323. A number of youngsters nominated for the 0,000 William Penn Stakes to be renewed on May 23 were closely watched j while picking up experience and speed over the racing strip. Mrs. E. H. Augustus Helianthus and Music Maestro went together and breezed five furlongs in 1:04-.-,. William G. HelK Jr.s. Woodlands went smartly in the mud for three furlongs, and showed a liking for the going with his :3625 trial. Brookmeade Stables Martyr breezed four furlongs in :4845, handling the going in good fashion. George R. Galbreaths Roman Mirage stepped three furlongs in :39. Woodley Lane Farms Red Hannigan showed sharp 3peed in his short test of three furlongs a?v " •*"**.
