Bowie Handle at New High BOWIE. Md., May 2.— An all-time high daily mutuel average at Bowie is certain to be established here when the bugle blows for the final event of the combined Bowie-Laurel 31 -day meeting. At the start of Fridays program the total was 8,622,671 for a daily average of 86,988. This figure is well above the present high daily average of 49,749 recorded at the conclusion of the 1951 fall meeting of 13 days.
