Warren Features Ascot All-Claiming Program Dr. Pentick Tries for Third Straight in Role of Favorite ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 2. — The entire card for Monday has been turned over to horses of the claiming ranks. The feature, the Warren Purse, should provide plenty of interest for most of the horses entered have been winners this year. The Warren is at four and one half furlongs and if the track remains fast the best time of the meeting should be hung up. Those slated to face the starter are Bold Gold, Jeannie H.. Psychic Mabel, Yak Yak, Jacsun, Deep Fen, Jean Bird, Dainger Ring, Dr. Pentick, Archmere, Susan Mary, Soundings, Ivy Boy, Ball the Jack and Lure of Gold. Dr. Pentick, from the successful barn of Pete Maxwell, will be seeking his third straight score over the local course and will probably go postward as a lukewarm favorite. In his last race at four and one-half furlongs, he defeated Dainger Ring by a length leading throughout the test. In his other winning race here he defeated Tyson Gilpins Lassitude by three and one-half lengths, going six and one-half furlongs. • Psychic Mabel, trained by Jimmy Simpson, and to be ridden by Freddie Kratz, will also be seeking win No. 3 here at Ascot Park. Her last was at seven furlongs and Kratz hustled her along to a two-length score over My Charm, before that race she defeated Fiddlin Mac by a length with half furlongs. Ivy Boy, who is on the "also eligible" list and may not get into the fray, turned in a sparkling effort here on Tuesday when he defeated Fiddlin Mac by a length with jockey Eddie Plesa in the saddle. The son of Flying Watch came from off the pace to take that one and looked very good in winning. Lady Jacsun will be making her first start of the Ohio season, but comes here with excellent credentials, from the spring meeting at Charles Town. Others slated to make their first local appearances are Deep Fen, who raced well at Sunshine Park, Archmere who is always tough in a dash: soundings a winner at Charles Town and Lure of Gold who also took a race at that tracks spring session.
