Outline Program for Annual Maryland Yearling Show PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md.. May 9.— Preston M. Burch, who has been one of the nations outstanding trainers for many years and who is now handling the Brook-meade Stable for Mrs. Dodge Sloane will judge the yearlings exhibited at the annual sHow held by the Maryland Horse Breeders Association at Pimlico. The show, limited to Maryland-bred youngsters, is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, which is the "dark day" of Preakness week at the local oval. Four classes of yearlings will be presented, colts and fillies conceived and foaled in Maryland and for colts and fillies conceived elsewhere and foaled in Maryland. Trophies will be presented by the Pimlico, Bowie and Laurel managements as well as the Maryland Horse Breeders Association and cash awards will be made by the Maryland State Fair board. Following the show, there will be a luncheon for members of the Breeders group and their guests, held in the members club at Pimlico. After this the annual business meeting of the association will be held with the election of officers as the main item on the agenda. A session of the directors will close out the days activities.
