SUPER CASH raced evenly in a good effort and had no mishap. JANES PRIDE lacked early speed. SEA PUSS had no excuse. SEPPIE could not keep up. SOUTHERN BABY was outrun. SUNNYBR00K SUE alternated with JACK JAY in setting the pace to the stretch, bore out during the final furlong and, forcing FAIRIAM wide, held the latter safe, but was disqualified for fouling and placed second. FAIRIAM, in hand to the last quarter mile, was impeded by SUNNYBROOK SUE during the last sixteenth mile and could not overtake the latter. JACK JAY raced prominently to the final furlong, then weakened. CRANBROOK lacked early speed and could not reach serious contention. GRAND BABY was outrun. FABRIDEAUX, forwardly placed from the start, took command when settled in the stretch and held on gamely to withstand SO FAIR. SO FAIR, hustled after starting sluggishly, saved ground during the drive and closed strongly, but could not overtake the top one. CLEVELANDER gradually worked way forward, but was unable to reach the leaders when set down in the drive. MOTHER MORRIS raced prominently to the final furlong, then faltered. LIEBESKIND drifted out at the stretch turn. RIPPLING HIT lacked early speed. DJYMY had no excuse. UNCLE SHOOT was far back throughout. LADY ROWENA, on the extreme outside, tired after displaying early speed. HO EIGHT took command at once, set the pace for a half mile, then gave way. U. S. KNIGHT drifted out during the stretch run. MEMAW, a keen factor from the start, established a clear lead after three-eighths mile, gave way to CROSS WAVE during the drive, then came again but could not hold the winner. CROSS WAVE, never far back, took a short lead when settled for the stretch run, but faltered nearing the finish. TONYS TROUBLE was unable to better his position when set down for the drive. TORCH OF WAR went to the front early, set the pace to the last eighth, then faltered when challenged by SMACKOVER. PRINCE MARQUE finished well under punishment. GULF STREAM was outrun. The latter, a keen factor from the outset, took a short lead when settled in the stretch and held on gamely, but was unable to withstand the top one. PORTRAY saved ground throughout in a sharp effort. LARRIEWEIL moved up boldly in the early stretch, but faltered during the last sixteenth. GOLDEN KING had no mishap. TOP-LATION went to the front at the start, set the pace to the stretch under pressure from MR. PROSECUTOR, but had nothing left for the drive. GREATER had a rough race. ALSAB ACE was never prominent. DOSTA, forced back immediately after the break, failed to recover THIRD WARD was through early.
