Horses to Watch Horses who impressed Daily Racing Form representatives as being ready to win: SPORTSMANS PARK COOKINA — Looked good in finishing third in last start, Runs for ,000 claiming price. WILL YOU DANCE— Creditable showing in five-furlong dash in last outing. Could want more distance. LYLES FIRST— Raced very wide in last and lost all chance. May do better with more experienced rider. AMERICAN PLAN— Was a trifle short in last, but may be capable of sticking out five furlongs in next effort. INACCESSIBLE— Failed to get going last time until the race was practically over. Worth another try. WHAT A PEACH— Was close up in recent effort and should improve. Seems to be in tip-top shape. CROSSBOW GIRL— Toss out last race and go back to best effort. Is ready for the races. SAILORS DELITE— Beaten favorite who was unable to find racing room on the inside in last effort. Should do better next time. THE BARRISTER in.— This fellow made the turns in better style last time and won by eight lengths. Could be a repeater. VERY SPECIAL— Was 10 lengths in front of field at half way mark of seven-furlong race and backed up to third. Five-eighths could fit. ROMAN VULCAN— Usually runs a good race. Was beaten but narrowly recently when favored. Worth watching this week. ROWDY ROBERT— Seems to be on the improve and recently flashed good early speed. Wants about ,000 claiming price. CHURCHILL DOWNS MIMI MINE — High class three-year-old filly comes from smartly-trained stable and she recently worked five furlongs over a slow track in 1:03 handily. COFFEE MONEY— Irish-bred sprint star is training impressively and breezed six furlongs in 1:18 on dull strip. SPUR ON — Landy stable handicap star may be under silks here in an overnight event and morning trials are on quick side. MLLE. LORETTE — Better-than-average three-year-old filly was never better and due for visit to winers circle. SOOCRU— Hard-hitting plater was trifle short in recent middle distance race and probably will improve off that effort. MISS STAKES— Maiden two-year-old miss raced well in only appearance under silks and should graduate at an early date. FIVE STAR GEN.— Maiden three-year-old raced well in his only start and eligible to good spot in an overnight event. TUONINE— Displayed high early speed in Southerner Purse but probably needed her race and capable of beating same class field. FIRST HEIR— Paddock stable four-year-old colt improves with racing and he looked good in a recent Downs engagement. GRAY CHALLENGE— Axton filly is one of the best of her sex and age division and morning trials satisfactory. BAYBROOK— Knight colt certainly gave good account of himself in Brown Hotel Handicap and he is razor sharp. CHIPPEWA CHIEF— Just missed against Not Joe in six furlongs race and belongs with ,500 grade sprinters. BELMONT PARK PATROL WAGON— Close resolutely behind Fighting Wise in sprint and appears ready for creditable middle-distance effort. ASHENDEN— Two-year-old showed good speed in debut and should not be much longer in earning initial set of brackets. THE MAST — This jumper encountered interference in first outing and is expected to atone for that setback with improved racing luck. DELEGATE— Was retarded last time when his hind bandage unravelled. Merits another chance against similar rivals. HALF SHELL— Was apparently a trifle short last time. That one may have served as the necessary tightener. TAHITIAN KING— Has been training cleverly for future three-year-old stakes. Recent six panels in 1:14 over sloppy track suggests readiness. WILL TRAVEL— Was blocked during the stretch run of last engagement, which probably cost the victory. Works have been Satisfactory. BEWITCHING— Slight drop in classification is all required to assure victory for this intermediate plater. PARADING LADY— Displayed good early speed in recent stake engagement. Is capable of downing better fillies when in top form. DISPUTE — Comes from well-trained unit and is certain to improve with additional experience. SUPERUPPER— The manner in which this youngster accounted for first start here would suggest additional successes in the future. ONCE IN LOCE— Has been close up in recent starts and should greet judges in near future if not too ambitiously placed. ►FLAMBEAU— This juvenile has displayed stretch-running ability in each trip post-ward. Could score at next asking. PIMLICO FERN GOLD— Tired a bit in seasonal debut and seems likely to improve sufficiently to earn brackets in similar company. WHITE CLIFF— Was deprived of all chance when impeded in last and may handle same horses with a share of racing luck. WAITED — Closed considerable ground in recent five-furlong affair and should garner a purse in near future. KINGS QUEST— Crowded in local engagement and finished less than four lengths behind winner. Should win at first asking for new owner. POMPANO — Has trained splendidly over this track and should be entered at a sprint distance in near future. UNCLE TOM — Gave way in the sloppy going recently and should improve over a fast track. BE GRACIOUS — Hard-hitting mare has always been partial to the local strip and has continued satisfactory training. SINISTER, — Shifty two-year-old who appears capable of handling fair field of allowance youngsters. SHERWOOD GIRL— Has advanced steadily in recent training and should make an early appearance in the entries. BILLY CROFTON— Speedster from the Herb Boorse stable who seems ready for top effort at first asking. AQUARIUS — May have needed recent race, in which he gave way after looming a threat. MAD HARE! — Raced well in late stages of local sprint and may be stretched out a bit for next engagement. SUFFOLK DOWNS BARNEYS JOY— Worked a useful five furlongs on Friday to suggest he is" near -ing top form. LITTLE STEP — The hard-hitting son of Fighting Step is a sound horse this year and may prove one of the top sprinters in this area. NAGGING WIFE] — Reported to be a speedy miss. She was in need of the education gained from her debut. DJUNA — Failed to race to her trials in debut, but probably needed education. Rates another chance. FIGHTING HOME— Was probably best in his recent outing when allowed to lose ground through stretch. Kept on straight course, should be good enough to beat same field. SLEEK JEEP — A promising juvenile that should improve off his recent outing. Showed speed after being blocked. DAUNTEDID — The aging speedster gave a good account of himself in his seasonal bow and should not tarry in taking down a purse. LADDIE — Poor racing luck caused this one a purse recently. Ratesa chance against same company. ABSTRACT— The hard-hitting son of Iso-later is gradually rounding to form and may be tough to handle in next start. SKY FAITH — A juvenile who has been impressing the dockers during his morning trials. Has been a half mile in :48%, handily. MAIN STRENGTH— Recently was tabbed six furlongs from the barrier in 1:14% to suggest he is ready for brackets. DARK DESTROYER — A classy colt who is training kindly and may make an auspicious start here. ASCOT PARrC ACE TIP— Closed well here in last effort and is accorded an excellent chance of winning a route test this week. MY CHARM — Was a disappointing favorite here on Thursday, but should make amends before long. B TWO— Is capable of defeating a field of ,500 claimers at seven furlongs over an off track. JACK CAREY — Lost a bandage in last race here and wound up last. With better luck may be hard to beat at seven furlongs in an allowance test. ALCAN — Flashed some speed in her last race here and should fare well in a distance race in the near future. TWO THREES— Likes an off track and may come right back with another score on such a strip against a cheap field of platers. AMBLE MISS — Tired a trifle in her last effort at seven furlongs. This daughter of Runebbs Pride may lead the way going four and a half furlongs. QUEENS MYRTLE — Closed extremely well in last race and all this filly needs is an off track and a mile and one-sixteenth. COUNT RAYBERN — A recent arrival at this course appears ready to earn a set of brackets and is in a good barn. RUGENE — Turned in disappointing effort on a muddy track early last week. This hard-hitting mare is razor sharp now and figures to score once the track dries out.. ARCHMERE— Ran wide at the head of the stretch in first race over the track, losing all chances. This one is always hard to beat in a sprint and should win here before long. GARDEN STATE PARK HAPPY VICTOR— Perhaps was too snugly rated in his last race and the necessary improvement should be forthcoming. MIT 1 DALE — Gave a sharp performance in his first outing this year. Appears to be ready for either a sprint or a distance. BUSY EVENING— Must disregard his poor effort over a muddy track. Best fitted with ,000 company at a mile and a quarter. LADY SAILOR— Last race, in which she finished second, was better than the chart may indicate and she should graduate soon. PICTURE CARD— Is capable of better than his last race. May click at first asking. ROMAN MIRAGE— Reported to be a shifty juvenile. Education of his first race should bring improvement. CANARIS — Two-year-old has been fretting away his races in the paddock and post parade. As he becomes calmer, he will race better. WAR LASS — A more alert beginning will find this filly tough to beat in trie right company. PAY WINDOW— Coming up to a winning race. Last effort can be disregarded due to a poor beginning. ELJAKA — Displayed sharp speed the first time out at this meeting, and will have more stamina the next time. PAYUCANO — South American importation tired and appeared to need his race here last week. Could develop as a top runner. FORf~MIAMI MARIAN ROSE— Left the maiden ranks in impressive style after several honest attempts. Should handle non-winners of two races with same ease. CATAMINT — Iron gray gelding, may need only slight change of equipment to take advantage of his turn of early speed. Has been very rank and run-out bit may help. BROOMLIN— Got a trifle tired in his last outing. Should leave the non-winners ranks very soon. HOOT MON — Has finally reached winning condition after three races on the local strip. MAGIC EMPIRE— Recent five furlongs in l:021/s belies only start. Could profit from that outing and reward with fine mutuel figure. MISS CURLING— Was ambitiously placed in first local outing. Should not dis-sourage followers who look for her in maiden company. QUICK NEWS— Scored with authority in first start of 1953 season. Can be taken right back to make it two in a row FABULOUS SOUTH— Grail Bird matron has finally reached peak form which carried her to 10 wins during 1952. May return to the winners circle in next outing. SILVER GLOW— Weak ride cost this one a piece of the last purse. Stronger boy will result in more favorable results. COPPERSTONE— Change in barns should not affect this mares winning form. Just needs Howard Craig back in the saddle and shell take care of the rest. DOXY — Very ordinary performer who is being pointed for a choice spot. SILVER SWEEP — Showed signs of waking up in last route affair. May have needed slight rest before showing best form again.
