7,496 Racing Patrons Pack Ft. Miami Plant to Capacity FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 9. — Under a bright May sky, 7,496 racing patrons paoked the Fort Miami race track to the last seat and were pleased by three favorites out of the first five, including a double for leading rider Howard Craig. • Craig had the first winner of the afternoon with a rocking chair ride on Battle Royal, and then came back to take the fifth race by a head with L. Pascals Rising Temper. t Craigs victories were his 33d and 34th of the meeting and the local populace greeted him with warm applause on both trips to the winners circle. Battle Royal figured in a two and a half lengths victory in the first race of the day. Battle Royal was getting his second straight triumph over the track. The gelding paid .00 as the public choice and started a 9.20 Double which was completed t by Ginny Weaver in the second event. Ginny Weaver was also getting her second local victory as she carried jockey « Kenny Chapman to a five length triumph. Ginny Weaver was a lukewarm second choice in the betting and paid .60. i
