Sagittarious and Thymus Top Governors Eligibles New York Horses Among Seventeen In Suffolks Week-End Feature SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass.. May 9. — Winding Way Farms Sagittarius, winner of the 0,000 added Jamaica Handicap last month, and G. Gay and E. Mulls Thymus, winner of an allowance at Jamaica last Tuesday, and a highly regarded sprinter, head the 17 eligibles for next Saturdays renewal of the 0,000 added Governors Handicap. The local nominees include Ralph Lowes Pictus, H. A. Kimballs Algasir, Mrs. J. M. Lingles Larry Ellis, O. Cledges Caldwell, W. J. Beatties Good Shot, I. J. Whites High Head, Putriment, Cava! and Chmuras Little Step, W L F Stables Royal Duke, Mrs. S. Orrs U. S. Navy, Mrs. A. Michael-ides Shrewd, H. Forrests Metropolis, An-naloro and Tereses Nola Hash, J. G. Hills Our Dorie, Mrs. J. M. Branhams Shadows Start and Mrs. Paul Weyermans Villager. Sagittarius, a seven-year-old Teddys Comet offspring out of War Regalia by I Man o War, has been racing since 1948, j and during that time has won 12,420 in I purses. This year in seven starts he has three victories, including the New Years Handicap at Tropical Park and the Jamaica Handicap. Thymus, who made only one start this year prior to last Tuesday, proved he was fit in taking an allowance feature from a good field of sprinters at New York, which included Count Turf, Sun Rene and Risque Rogue. Last year as a three-year-old this Questionnaire colt was in the money 13 out of 18 times, including five victories, one of them a triumph over Sagittarius in the Last Coin Handicap at Jamaica in October. Thymus and Sagittarius are expected to be shipped here from Jamaica within the next couple of days in order to be able to work over the racing strip before Saturdays test.
