GENERAL CROSS disposed of RAIN DEAR S on the final turn and then hejd sway under mild urging while along the rail. ROYAL ROCK lacked a sufficient rally while racing in the first flight from the start. CURVE MASTER finished up willingly. RAIN DEAR S tired after forcing the early pace. MIDNIGHT CALL appeared to stumble midway along the backstretch. ADENA was never a factor. AUNT.ANNIE quit. SUSSEX CIRCLE turned in a dull effort. The latter raced in closest attendance throughout, but lacked a sufficient rally. Blum claimed a foul against the winner for alleged interference in the vicinity of the three-eighths pole and then again at the head of the stretch, but the foul claim was not allowed. DARK EMBASSY raced evenly for the most part. BLUE AMBER tired. HARRYiS REWARD was unable to gain sufficient racing room. HY FRONT was never a factor. BLUE SHORE was nicely" rated while racing in the first flight, moved around SPY DEFENSE on the final turn, responded gamely to left-handed pressure through the stretch and just lasted over the onrushing LITTLE IMP. The latter, never far off the pace, moved from the outside on the turns and just missed. SPY DEFENSE gained the lead soon after the start, saved ground, but flattened out in the final sixteenth of a milev AVELLA was in close quarters going to the first turn, found room along the backstretch, but could not seriously menace the top ones.
