GRAND EVENING, away fast and a sharp factor from the start, raced WILD HEIRESS into defeat before entering the stretch, then held on gamely under urging to withstand INFAITH. The latter gradually worked way forward to the. stretch, finished strongly, but could not get to the top one, although much the best of the others. STORM BIRD, well placed from the start, failed to rally when set down through the stretch. HI BOB lacked early speed. WILD HEIRESS took command early, set the pace to the stretch, but gave way when challenged by GRAND EVENING. BROWN BRUTUS began sluggishly. KASLICK was never prominent and had no mishap. JACKIES IDOL could not handle the slow track. EX-GLORIA had early speed, but failed to stay. JUNIOR COUNSEL tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. JOFIN showed nothing. PIGEONETTE took command before going three-eighths of a mile, drifted to the outside entering the stretch, then drew clear to win with speed in reserve. COJOC, outrun early, closed willingly when set down in the drive, but could not threaten PIGEONETTE. BLAZER HORNET raced evenly to the stretch, moved up boldly at the final turn, then was unable to better his position when hard ridden during the drive. MISS BOXER tired after racing well to the stretch. TIFFANY was never dangerous and had no mishap. FOREVER BON tired during the stretch, run. CAFE-AU-LAIT was through early. BLUE HIEROCLES had brief speed, but failed to stay. CARACAS KID was far back throughout. AMAUT ROYAL tired. GRAND LEVEL began sluggishly. SUSTAINED raced wide. AGNES LYNN took command at once, set the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, then held on determinedly during the drive to withstand TRIPLE BELLS. The latter raced nearest AGNES LYNN from the beginning, finished willingly, but was unable to reach the top one, although easily best of the others. COTRAMEL could not better his position when set down through the stretch. BILLUP began slowly. FOOT SECRET could not keep up after showing early speed. SHORT SIS attempted to wheel soon after the break and, she could not be persevered with thereafter her rider losing both stirrup irons. FOURTH RACE 6 FURLONGS out of chute. NONNIE JO, outrun to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and, closing fast under brick handling, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. PIGEON PIE took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch but was unable to hold the winner. COURTESY BOY gave a good effort and had no mishap. BLACK BILLINGS finished fairly well under punishment. DOGEIANA. failed to rally when set down through the stretch. STAR FIRE swerved during the drive. HIGH AUTHORITY took an early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch, then gave way when challenged by RED SULTAN.
