Early Count Reveals 255 Thistledown Stake Nominees THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 9. The acing secretarys staff took a rough count of the nominations for ThistleDowns five stakes and the results were found very gratifying by the management. Not including those received in todays mail, all nominations postmarked no later than midnight July 8 are valid, nor those brought back by Lando Bressan who returned today from a missionary tour of eastern tracks, the total has already reached 255.. To date, the Ohio Endurance has drawn 75 tnominess, the Susan Stakes 51, the Imp Handicap 28, ThistleDown Cup 56, and the Ohio Derby 45. Included among the list om nominations are several made by the stable of Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt whose Find won the nineteenth running of the 5,000 Ohio Derby at this track last year.
