Kopes Baby Totes New Colors Today Bohemia Stable Purchase to Vie With Level Rippey and Six Other Delaware Rivals DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., Jun 9. Kopes Baby, the three-year-old Bli Swords colt who was acquired for 9,50 from the S. L. Kopald dispersal sale, make his first appearance for the Bohemia Sta ble in tomorrows featured Talleyvill Purse, a six-furlong dash which carries purse of ,000. Unplaced in the Remsei and Everglades Stakes earlier in the sea son, Kopes Baby last raced on April 23 a which time he covered a mile and a six teenth in 1:45 to win his third purse ii six starts. Opposing Kopes Baby in the Talleyvilli will be the following: Circle M Farms Leve Rippey, Auburn Farms Old Glendale Cedar Farms War Tune, East Acres Astute, Mrs. D. N. Lees Belmont Breeze Wayne Kendricks Miss-Tacaro, and Heler R. Bensons Dottie Dear. Level Rippey comes up to the Talleyvilh well recommended, having raced but onct this season and apparently primed for vast improvement. The fleet Rippey filly launched her seasonal campaign last Friday and finished third behind Greek Lady and Parlo in 1:12 flat. Trainer Frank Catrone had her razor-sharp for that debut but it is reasonable to suspect that the effort will aid her considerably. Double Winner in 1954 War Tune is a double winner this year and has been second in local competition, having finished in that position behind Tamale in 1:11. The Warlock colt has been a steady performer all season and seems likely to turn in another good effort. Belmont Breeze and Old Glendale come from out of the same race, having been third and fourth, respectively, behind Major Pomp in 1:11. Belmont Breeze was making his second start of the year and moved up considerably off his seasonal bow at Pimlico. Old Glendale has been four times second and twice third in 10 starts and is still seeking his initial set of brackets for the year. The Paynter purse is the secondary attraction on the off-day program and calls for seven sprinters to meet at six furlongs. The scheduled starters are Tamale, Royal Fan, Mondaval Flying Away, Helianthus, Mrs. G. R., and Bea Marony.
