FRED G. rushed boldly after three furlongs, came around horses to engage the leader, bore in sharply causing MY RUTHIE to take upi then drew out. ATOMIC KISS improved hjsposition gradually, responded to pressure in the drive, but was not good enough. MY RUTHIE was under light urging to dispose of BANSHEE JET, drew clear entering the stretch, shortened stride and appeared to be tiring .when impeded, BRANDY PUNCH passed tiring horses on the extreme outside. SNIPER went evenly. WAR TORO was never prominent. COLD CHIC showed nothing. TOOL PUSHER went well fcr three furlongs and retired BANSHEE JET quit after three furlongs. Start good: Won driving; second and third the same- CASH REQUEST moved to engage for command soon after the start, alternated in setting the pace and edged OTROON in the final yards. The latter showed speed from the start, came inside to protect a short lead and just missed. FLAG OFFICER was going stoutly to make up ground in the late stages. EARLY NIGHT saved ground to better late position. GATO MANOSO flashed brief speed and retired. HOBO, KING raced wide in the late stages. GEORGE ARDAN, an early trailer, passed horses along the inside. SPEED MAKER showed nothing. GAME PRINCE was never a prominent factor. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. WHITSUNTIDE, steadied within striking distance of the pace, moved readily to near the leaders after straightening for the drive, and was alohg in the late yards to outfinish BERNIE MOOSE. The latter moved with a belated rush on the extreme outside to close with good energy. CLOUDED SUN, close up under stout restraint, vied for the lead in the stretch and faltered, WATCH UNION, reserved within striking distance of the pace, rallied when roused, challenged "the leader, and then faltered. AMERICAN PILOT assumed command soon after the start, gained the inside before the far turn, held on tenaciously until the final, sixteenth and weakened. FIGHTING THRU raced close to the pace for five furlongs and tired. INACTION, in hand within striking distance of the pace, was steered to the outside on the final turn and showed nothing under the drive. TELBRAS was outrun. MAIN SPEAKER rallied in the late stages, but was unable to threaten. EABANI was eased back and sent to the outside before a guarter mile, then lost ground throughout while closing stoutly. SMART CHOICE moved in close attendance of the pace after a half mile, was roused entering the stretch and, hard ridden to gain command, outfinished GO GO GO. The latter moved clear at once, dominated the pace and held on stubbornly when challenged. FUTURESQUE broke sluggishly, was taken back and sent outside on the first turn, worked his way up along the inside and failed to threaten when mildly roused. PIPE OF PEACE had no mishap. RED RED ROBIN was hustled into a long lead soon after the start, shortened stride after five furlongs, drifted out slightly, but was kept going under stout pressure to outfinish MID ADMIRAL. The latter, steadied within striking distance of the pace, was caught on the outside of the leader entering the stretch, forced wide, responded to steady pressure and just missed. WAR FINISH saved ground while working his way up into contention, vied for command in the stretch, but was not good enough. DONT OREST had no mishap. HANNAKINS rallied mildly in the late stages. AMYN BEY, steadied when unable to outrun the leaders, was forced to lose ground on the turn, rushed boldly to gain ground after five furlongs, then flattened out. IN THE BOOK weakened.
