i Ariel Image, Sickles Image Dam, Dies Suddenly LEXINGTON, Ky., June 9. Clarence Hartwicks Ariel Image, dam of last years champion mare, Sickles Image, died here Tuesday morning. The 14-year-old daughter of Ariel Imaginary took sick suddenly yesterday. Cause of death was not immediately known. Ariel Image foaled a filly by Bolero this spring and it has been placed with a nurse mare. The Bolero miss is the only foal of Ariel Image since she produced her first foal, the crack Sickles Image. Ariel Image had been bred to Roman this spring, but was not believed in foal at her death.
