Luro Resigning Training Post With Delman Stable South American Horseman Will Be Succeeded by W. C. Stephens AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 26. Horatio Luro announced here today that he has resigned as trainer of the stable owned by Herman B. Delman and would give up care of the horses this Wednesday. They parted on amicable terms. Reached at Monmouth Park, where he was spending a day at the races,. Delman said that W. C. "Woody Stephens would succeed Luro. Luro gave as his reason for severing his connection with Delman the fact that the owner prefers to campaign on Long Island . and at Saratoga, while he feels he fares better 6n the Chicago circuit. Luro said that he has already shipped 15 head for Arnold Hanger, C. H. Wacker m. and , others to Arlington Park. Luro was scheduled to leave for Florida over the week end to receive a shipment of eight South American thoroughbreds being flown into the Miami Airport on Monday. After arranging for the entry of this band into this country and their shipment to Chicago, Luro will go to Delaware Park, where he will saddle Hangers Inten-cion in the 00,000 ew Castle Handicap on July 5. At the end of July, Luro will travel to Europe with John C. Clark, president of Hialeah Park, and will return during August. The Argentinians Chicago string is headed by Hangers grass star, Iseberg TX, who is being pointed for the turf fixtures at Arlington and Washington Parks. - .
