SON AL, never far back, was sent around horses entering the stretch and, after taking command, drew clear under brisk urging. LILS GADGET took arb early lead, set the pace until inside the stretch, but could not withstand the winner, although easily best of the others. KASLICK lacked early speed, but finished fairly well under punishment LILAC saved ground entering the stretch and reached the lead between calls, but had nothing left for the drive. TREADA BOY could not handle the slow track. PREACHER began slowly. SO FAIR was racing forwardly placed near the stretch when she stumbled and lost all chance. COVEY was through early. MARY LIKE went to the front early, set the pace to the stretch, but could not stay with the winner. HUMPHREY saved ground throughout, but failed to rally when set down through the stretch. RUGGED BOY raced well to the stretch, then drifted out while tiring. WAR DANGER could not keep up. PAK began slowly and raced wide through the stretch. WESTMEATH showed nothing. TONIGHT, in hand to the stretch, finished willingly but could not reach the top one. OUR KITE, forwardly placed from the start, reached the lead nearing the stretch, but faltered during the drive. MAN BAR made a mild bid after three-guarters mile, then weakened. PAYTU, a sharp factor from the start,, raced well throughout, but was not good enough for the winner, although easily best of the others. PICTUS lacked early speed, was sent around horses entering the stretch and could not threaten the leaders when set down in the drive. VIE went to the front early, set the pace to the stretch, but had nothing left for the drive. CIMMERONA was outrun and had no mishap. HEART FLASH had early speed, but-failed to stay.
