MAYBE MABEL failed to stay when set down through the tretch. LITTLE ERRARD raced with JA JA to -the stretch, then drifted to the inside while tiring during the I rive. LUCKY CHIPS took command early, settled in the stretch with a good lead, but was briskly handled thereafter to withstand MUSIC. The latter, well placed from the start, closed determinedlyunder punishment, but could not reach the winner, although not under strong pressure to best the others. WAR DOLLAR gave a good effort and had no excuse. LAST STRIDE lacked early foot, but finished fairly well under urging. WHAT A PEACH failed, to respond when set down in the drive. CONNIE-JO bore in during the drive after going wide entering the stretch. BETSY MARIE, forced to take up leaving the backstretch, failed to recover. HASTY BEE tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. ANN DEL, roughed during the stretch run by CONNIE-JO, lost all chance. REDEAL showed nothing. EUGENIA was never dangerous. BELLE GRAND began fast, but dropped far back immediately after the start. SANTAS GIRL was through early. Scratched 21096 Sun Crown, 114. Overweight Belle Grand, 1 pound. The latter raced nearest SHORT TINT after the start, was unable to reach the winner, but finished strongly to withstand ETERNAL GOIN. The latter closed determinedly under punishment. FLICKA. STAR lacked early foot and raced wide. TWO-DUCKS was outrun and had no excuse. -INNISFREE was through early. SALE PRICE made a good bid in the early stretch, then weakened.
