Babe Resting Comfortably Following Spinal Operation GALVESTON, Texas, June 22 UP. Mrs. Babe Didrickson Zaharias underwent spinal surgery at John Sealy Hospital today to correct a ruptured disc. Reports from the hospital said Mrs. Zaharias, who made a comeback in the-golf world two years ago after an operation for cancer, was "resting comfortably" after the operation. . Dr. S. R. Snodgrass earlier said Mrs. Zaharias would be out of golf for at least three months and might possibly be laid, up for six months or more. Mrs. Zaharias entered St. Marys Infirmary some 10 days ago. She was transferred to John Sealy Hospital early today for the operation.
