SPEEDY FOOT, well placed from the start, took command after leaving the upper turn, settled for the stretch run with a clear lead and drew clear when ridden out SWEEPING FLAG, never far back, closed resolutely but could not reach the winner, although easily best of the others. FIREY IMP could not better her position when set down through the stretch. HERES JAKE lacked early foot and raced wide. SANDRAS BABY was never dangerous. TETU showed nothing. WRINKLE FREE could not keep up. HOMELY DUCHESS, crowded back after the break, failed to recover. KEN JIM was never prominent. FANCY-DEB had early speed but failed to stay. MRS. A. JET FLEET raced evenly to the stretch, was sent to the middle of the track for the drive and, closing strongly under brisk urging, wore down VANDANELL in the last strides. VANDANELL went to the front early, set the pace under occasional urging and held on determinedly during the drive but was unable to withstand the top one. GOLD FLASH raced evenly in a good effort and had no excuse. MOON LOVE saved ground throughout but failed to rally when set down in the drive. MIGHTY ROAN lacked early foot and raced wide. HUNT PLATE was never dangerous. JUST BARBARA tired after racing well to the stretch. LITTLE LIGE showed nothing. ALDO KID raced far back throughout. WILLY NILLY was outrun and had no excuse MAGIC CHOICE was never dangerous. SMOOTH PALM raced wide. DARK THEATRE had early speed. but failed to stay. GEORGE ARDAN showed little. HI SUZANNE, outrun to the last quarter mile, closed strongly under punishment, could not threaten the winner, but was up to dead-heat TROUT LURE for third. The latter, reserved to the stretch, closed well ynder brisk urging to finish on equal terms with HI SUZANNE DONNAS FOX took an early lead set the pace to the last eighth, then faltered when challenged by SAM PARK.
