Ten in Arlingtons Olympia Sprint Turf Route Event Shares Spotlight Breakers, By Zeus. and Mr. Paradise Meet; First Ten Broeck Endurance Has 12 ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 22. The ,500 Olympia, six furlongs sprint for four -year-olds and upward, and the ,000 Ten Broeck mile and five-eighths grass endurance test, share Thursdays spotlight at Arlington Park. The Olympia, carded as the sixth event, attracted ten seasoned speedsters, headed by Bwamazon Farms Breakers, Mrs. Edward Laskers By Zeus, and Mrs. Ada L. Rices Mr. Paradise. Rounding out the Olympia field are Mrs. John L. Oglesbys In Clover, P. Stevens ws Blue Amber, William Hal Bishops Alsab Ace, Merle M. Mitchells Cosentina, Mrs. Frank Brachs Brachs Admiral, Reverie Knoll Farms Mon-Pharo, and Calumet Farms Eds Day. The Ten Broeck is the first of, a distance series of eleven races,- one programmed each Thursday of the coordinated Arlington-Washington meeting, honoring the fabled router of the 1870s. Thursdays Ten Broeck No. 1 lured a full field of twelve routers, including Henry Starks No Tricks and Phil Johnsons William Morton, -both winners of distance events at the recent Balmoral meeting. Others in Line-up Also in the field will be Fairway Farms Sandy M., Dave Sands Gravy Boat, Wallace Strongs Medina County, Foothill Farms Killimar, William J. Schmidts Am-phiblen, Pebblebrook Farms DAmaso, H. Winners Youll Do, Y. and O. Stables Atta-var, and Jacnot Stables Rosehue. The Ten Broeck is an optional-claiming affair. The Olympia is billed as the sixth, the Ten Broeck as the finale on Thursdays eight-race card. Breakers has been first or second in each of his last four races, including a Balmoral victory at the Olympia distance. The five-year-old gelding opened his seasons campaign at Hialeah, going unplaced in five events before he garnered his first of three wins. By Zeus makes his second start this year, having finished fourth in a Hollywood sprint June 4. The Count Fleet horse enjoyed a most successful campaign last year, scoring a pair of victories that account for the bulk of 29,950 earnings. One of those victories came in the San Juan Capistrano Handicap at Santa Anita. Mr. Paradise, whose chief claim to fame was a popular victory in the 1952 Washington Park Futurity, was tenth in his lone start this year, an allowance sprint at Garden State. Last year he won two of 21 races. Cosentina, making her 14th start this year in a winless campaign, has been second or third in her last seven attempts. Her latest was a runner-up position to Beanir at six furlongs. Her best race was the Honeymoon, closing jsteadily through the stretch to finish third Eds Day makes his second Chicago start. The Bull Lea colt ran fifth, June 2, at Balmoral, a six furlongs grass dash won by Mr. Prosecutor. It was his first start since January at Santa Anita. Eds Day is seeking his first win this year. Brachs Admiral is starting for the first time this year. The four -year-old was slated for action late in May at Balmoral, but a sloppy track delayed his debut. Last year, competing in good allowance and stakes company, Brachs Admiral won three of twenty efforts. Mon-Pharo, making his third start this year, shows a seventh and an eighth place finish in two Balmoral turf sprints. He is prepping for next Wednesdays 5,000 Myrtlewood Handicap. Blue Amber is winless this year in a half-dozen starts, although he was second last out behind Scrutinized at six furlongs. It was his fourth Balmoral attempt. Alsab Ace scored his lone triumph of the year at the recent Balmoral session, a six furlongs sprint. His latest effort was a sixth in a dash won by Spring Khal. 1 1 :
