Three Attractions Dot Todays Dade Program Platter Scout in Sterling Purse; Name Race for Jockeys Guild Day By J. J. HAHN Staff Correspondent DADE PARK, Henderson, Ky., Aug. 19. Tomorrow is Jockeys Guild Day here and racing secrtary L. H. Van Zandt had gotten together the best program tof the week. Featuring the seven-race card is the Sterling Purse, a six furlongs dash to be used as the fifth race. The secondary feature is the Hopkinsville New Era, also at six furlongs and taking the place in the usual feature spot is the one-mile Jockeys Guild Purse. Only half a dozen make up the Sterling Purse, including the entry of H. H. Price, who has entered Brownie Lady and Platter Scout. Expected to go against this pair are Storm of Gold, Coin Gal, Coralies Girl and Squads Left. While he-has not won at this- meeting Platter Scout is given top weight of 117 pounds. His only outing here was on August 11 and he finished third to Gin Girl and Lancaster Lady. The latter came back in her next start and copped the Governors Handicap, last Saturdays feature. Storm of Gold is next at 115 pounds. After winning here earlier in the meeting he came back in a race at one mile and 40 yards but found the distance a bit too far and finished third to Fruition and Katie Ann. Hes back at his favorite distance and may make it interesting for the opposition. Coin Gal, at 112, started on the fourth day and gave a creditable account of herself, despite finishing far back in the 12-horse field. She came back a little later and finished second to On Rust. Squads Left, next at 105, "has not come up to expectations. After finishing second on the day following the opening, Squads Left raced again on the thirteenth but was out of the money in a race won by Senecas Pesty. However, throwing out the distance the winner won by Squads Left was downed by the remainder of the field by about two lengths. In that same race Brownie Lady, in at 100 pounds tomorrow, bested Squads Left, as did Coralies Girl, who is in the Sterling at 103 pounds. The Hopkinsville New Era Purse is for three-year-olds and entered here are Mar-gana, Holy "Cats, My Income Tax, Dark Desert, Strike Em Dead, Two-Bucks, Chips Floppy and Brief Sun. A total of 10 are entered in the one-mile Jockeys Guild Purse and included are Big Inch, Chesters Girl, Pollys Boy, Black Norlig, Eagle Lady, Ah Oui, Good Metal, Frenchtown, Casimar and Fair Arab.
