SNYDER SETS TRIAL RECORD INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., May 22. — Lou Meyer, of Huntington Park, California, three-time winner of the Memorial Day 500-Mile race, averaged 130.067 miles per hour in a ten-mile qualifying test to set a new record for qualifiers. But shortly after Meyers performance, Jimmy Snyder took the track I with his car and turned in an average of L30 J.38 miles -per hour.
