SEPLIN, going in nearest pursuit of the pacemaker, secured racing room on the inside, gained command inside the final eighth and came out gradually approaching the finish. OSOFREE broke fast and clear, assumed a short lead, was kept out from the rail and tired under weak handling. NANCIS BEST, forced to race on the outside from the start, improved her position steadily. POMPEYS ROSE could not improve her position under stout urging. VIVIAN K. was unable to threaten. DOCTORS NURSE showed early speed. NOBS BROTHER was caught in tight quarters nearing the turn and almost fell. ACE CHANCE had no speed. JUSTA CANTER, kept on the outside for racing room, gained fast in the last three-sixteenths and wore the leaders down in the last sixteenth. ANN GROUCHER was a strong factor from the beginning, was strongly urged and held on willingly to the end. GAME CHASER worked her way forward steadily and came with good speed in the final drive. GOOD GRACIOUS was hard ridden to race abreast of BLUE PRELUDE and she tired nearing the end. BLUE PRELUDE was backing into the stall when the start came, broke off stride, then was used up getting to the front. JACKINTHEBOX was outrun. ROCKMIN showed early speed. HONEYMAID quit. . DUNSANY displaced FRED ALMY, could not get clear and was no match for the winner LUCKY TURN began slowly, then closed gamely in the final drive. BROOKE HEROD was unable to enter a contending position. FRED ALMY was used up racing with the pace and quit. DOLLED UP failed to stay. QUICK ACTION had no mishaps. NEVILLE quit early. BEST POLICY was used up racing with TULEYRIES STAR and flattened out. QUILL was away poorly and had no chance. PUDDLES was also away poorly and could not menace. TULEYRIES STAR tired badly.
